Wilson recently released the Rush Pro 3.5. If you are someone searching for how this shoe can perform on the court then you have arrived at the perfect place. In this post, I’m going to provide you with an in-depth review of the Wilson Rush Pro 3.5 and how it can benefit your game. Let’s begin with the design of the shoe.

Design

Right out of the box, you are going to receive a nice-looking shoe that makes it enjoyable to play with on the court. Both the men’s and women’s designs are sleek looking and spot-on from my perspective.

As someone who loves designs and colours, if you were to ask me which one is my favourite colour? I would go for the men’s blue. Also, the women’s white is nice as well. Overall, I think Wilson did their homework very well to provide you with a nice colourful and attractive shoe.

Upper

Now let’s take a closer look at the upper material. It comes with a minimally layered upper with engineered mesh material. The purpose of this is to provide you with good breathability.

The breathability of the shoe would enable you to play in hot conditions because the mesh material would allow moisture to leave quickly whiles allowing fresh air into the shoe.

Also, the material is going to provide you with good support. This is great at enabling you to move effectively and efficiently on the court without putting too much pressure on your foot.

Moreover, the mesh material makes the shoe very comfortable to wear. This would allow you to play long hours of matches without making your feet feel fatigued.

And lastly with the upper material is durability. The upper would hold your foot really well and slow it from wearing out quickly.

Toe Box

Are you someone who tends to drag their toes a lot? If you are then you would enjoy wearing this shoe because you are going to get good toe box durability.

Also, unlike the Wilson Pro 3.0 that a lot of people complained about getting toe jamming in the toe area. This is not the case for this version. You are going to get enough room in the toe area which would make it comfortable to wear and play in them.

Heel Counter and Ankle Support

The height of the heels is fairly decent. This is going to keep your heels in perfect position and help with your movement on the court. The ankle area is well padded to provide you with comfort and support.

Tongue and Lacing System

There is nothing unusual with the tongue and lacing system compared to the Wilson Kaos Mirage which comes with a one-strap lacing system. This saves you time from tieing your laces all the time.

The Rush Pro 3.5 comes with a well-padded tongue which is going to provide you with comfort and cushioning when you wear the shoe.

This puts less pressure on your arch and makes movement on the court more comfortable on your feet.

Also, the one leather on top of the tongue helps to keep it stable and prevent it from distracting you over the course of the match. It has a traditional lacing system to keep your feet stable.

In addition, the lacing eyelets are made of metal to help them last longer than usual. And lastly with the lacing system is how it has extra lacing holes for more grip and support.

Weight

Another key strength of the shoe is the weight. It comes in 12.7 ounces with a size of 10.5. This puts the shoe in the lightweight category. This allows you to move quickly and effectively on the court.

Insole and Midsole

The insole is nicely made to provide you with good comfort when you wear the shoe. This is great at keeping your feet stable and comfortable when playing intense rallies in the match.

The midsole offers minimal layers of comfort underfoot. This helps you to play well and maneuver on the court.

Also, the R-DST+ combines responsive cushioning and energy return for explosive movements. Also, the use of a TPU shank provides you with stability to help resist twisting.

Fit

The shape and size of the shoe make it suitable for players who have a narrow to medium foot. If you have a wide foot then I wouldn’t recommend this shoe.

Instead, you want to try other shoes such as the NikeCourt Air Zoom Vapor Pro or ON The Roger Advantage. This shoe is going to require some break-in period so be a little patience when you wear it for the first time. Also, the shoe is true to length and doesn’t require you to go either up or down a size.

Outsole

Next up is the outsole. The Wilson Rush Pro 3.5 comes with a modified tread pattern. This is going to provide you with excellent traction on all court surfaces. I would put the tread pattern on the sticky side which is going to offer you excellent stability.

Also, it comes with the Duralast rubber outsole which is going to offer you decent durability on all court surfaces. It’s similar to the Wilson Kaos Swift.

If you are someone who is very hard on their outsole then you want to take caution when playing in this shoe or try a more durable outsole like the Asics Gel-Resolution 8.

You can count on the Gel-Resolution 8 because the outsole’s durability is spot on.

Colour Options

If you are someone who is obsessed when it comes to selecting the perfect colour shoe to suit your tennis outfit, then you would love this shoe. It comes with varieties of colours to choose from.

Price

The last point to talk about is the price of the shoe. It’s close to $200 which is expensive than most tennis shoes that you would come across on the market. However, the shoe comes with a lot of features that can benefit your game.

If you are someone who feels that this shoe is too expensive and wants a shoe at a lower cost then you want to check out the 10 best tennis shoes under $100. You would find it very useful at finding the perfect shoe that suits your budget.

Wrapping Up!!

As this post comes to its conclusion, I hope you have enjoyed reading it and found it very useful. The Wilson Rush Pro 3.5 is going to provide you with excellent comfort, stability, and lightweight.

However, it does require some break-in period and the outsole durability is not going to be the best on the market. With that said, it’s still a nice-looking shoe with many colour options to select from. I would end by saying good luck with this shoe in your next match and keep grinding on the court.
