There is a new Vapor shoe added to the family and it’s called the NikeCourt Air Zoom Vapor Pro. This shoe is built with a combination of the best features from the Vapor 10, Vapor Knit and Vapor Cage 4.
If you are a player that really enjoyed any of these shoes then you would love the Vapor Pro. This shoe has got everything you need as a player such as superb comfort, nice cushioning, excellent breathability and good stability. It is truly made ‘better than ever’ and would really take your game to the next level.

The wait is finally over because the NikeCourt Air Zoom Vapor Pro is finally on the market. There was a lot of anticipation about what the next line of the NikeCourt Air Zoom series is going to look like and how it’s going to perform. Luckily enough Nike did not fail to disappoint its fans and players.
The way the NikeCourt Air Zoom Vapor Pro is made is very interesting and fascinating. Basically, it’s a combination of the Nike Vapor 10, Nike Vapor Knit and of course the Nike Vapor Cage 4. All three of these shoes have been very successful on the market and some players continue to wear them.
With the NikeCourt Air Zoom Vapor Pro, however, Nike took some of the best features from all three of these previous shoes to take the Pro to the next level. If you liked any of the previous Vapor then you would love the Vapor Pro.
In this post, I’m going to provide you with a thorough in-depth review of the NikeCourt Air Zoom Vapor Pro and how it can benefit your game. If you are excited and ready like me, let’s start with the design and cosmetic of the shoe.

Design
Right out of the box, the shoe looks stunning and sleek. You can’t help but keep looking at it. All the colours Nike selected to make the shoe are spot on. As someone who loves colours and design, if you were to ask me what is my favourite colour from the Pro I would say the black/metallic red bronze and the white/purple pulse.
Moreover, the combination of the Vapor 10, Vapor Knit and Cage 4 has given the Pro a street style feel to the shoe. This makes it cool to wear both on and off the court. Without a doubt wearing a nice looking shoe onto the court is going to make you feel like a winner and increase your confidence.
Upper
Let’s take a closer look at the upper. Firstly, it has a traditional Vapor look and shape which is going to provide you with a nice fit and comfort.
Secondly, the upper is made of durable mesh material which is made of a 3-layer design to provide you with excellent breathability.
I would say it’s one of the best breathability shoes on the market along with the Diadora Speed Blushield 5 AG which also came on the market recently.
In addition, the inside of the mesh is reinforced in a way to provide you with extra support whiles you move around the court. Also, the outside material has a thin, flexible overlay to provide you with more durability.
Toe Box and Plastic Clip
The toe box area is covered with re-inforced rubber which is going to provide you with excellent durability.
If you are a toe dragger or someone who likes to slide a lot on the court then you would enjoy wearing this shoe. Another great thing that Nike did was they took the same outside plastic clip from the Vapor Cage 4 and implemented it in the Pro.
The purpose of this plastic clip is to provide you with good lateral stability whiles moving aggressively on the court. Moreover, the strong plastic clip makes the light, airy and breathable of the upper.
Heel Counter and Ankle Support
The Pro comes with a 2.5cm heel height which is going to keep your foot lock-in and allow you to move comfortably on the court. Moreover, the ankle area is well padded to provide you with good ankle support and stability as you move around the court.
Lacing System and Tongue
The lacing system has been updated from the previous versions. The Nike Pro comes with an asymmetrical lacing system to provide you with a snug fit and support during lateral movements. On top of that, the medial lace eyestays are covered to provide you with durability whiles sliding or moving aggressively.
Another great thing about the shoe is the tongue. It is the same neoprene tongue that Nike used in the Vapor 10 Knit. Although, the different with the Pro is they took the booty liner out.
Despite taking the booty liner out it’s still going to provide you with glove-like fit and comfort. In addition, you are going to get more heel support and cushioning.
Insole and Midsole
The insole comes with removable hieroglyphics to provide you with nice comfort and cushioning. This allows you to move comfortably on the court.
The midsole is going to provide you with cushioning and responsiveness on the court.
Weight and Size
The shoe comes with a weight of 11 ounces at size 8.5. This would be classified as lightweight and it would allow you to move quickly and efficiently on the court. The shoe comes in a variety of sizes for you to choose from.
Fit
This Nike Pro is suitable for players who have narrow, medium and wide foot. However, the way the shoe is shaped and how narrow is it, if you have a wide foot it’s recommended that you go up a half size. This way your feet adjust to the shoe quickly and enjoy the comfort of the shoe.
In terms of fit, this shoe does not require any break-in period and it’s super comfortable right when you wear it. This shoe is not suitable for players who have overpronation and bunion.
Outsole
Next up is the outsole. The outsole is the exact same features as the Nike Vapor 10. This is going to provide you with excellent traction on all court surfaces.
Moreover, it has the same integrated plastic shank to keep you grounded as you move around the court.
Talking about the durability of the outsole, this is going to last you for a while. If you are a player that is very hard on their outsole then you would enjoy wearing this shoe.
Colour Option
This shoe comes in a variety of colours to choose from. This is great because you have countless colours to select and match your tennis outfit.
Price
The last point to talk about is the price of this shoe. This shoe comes around the $120 mark. It’s on a similar price point as the Asics Solution Speed FF 2. This is a little expensive when compared to some of the tennis shoes on the market that are under $100.
The Nike Pro may seem expensive but the features that come with it is amazing. It can really help your game and even take it to the next level.
Final Thoughts!!
In conclusion, it’s very obvious that Nike has done really well to meet the slogan of this shoe that says ‘better than ever.’ The combination of previous shoes has turned out amazing than everyone expected. This shoe is going to provide you with comfort, good stability, breathability and lightweight.
However, the only big issue with this shoe is that it’s expensive. Apart from that, it’s a world-class performing shoe that can suit every player’s game.
