K-Swiss is a brand that has been on its trajectory over the years with its stable and comfortable tennis shoes. More players are fallen in love with how they make their tennis shoes and they keep getting better.

They have recently released their latest tennis shoe on the market and it is called the K-Swiss Ultrashot Team. This shoe is built for comfort, lightweight, and stability.

Let’s dissect each part of the shoe to see how good this shoe is by starting with the design.

Design

The shoe looks colourful and simple right out of the box. I love the colours K-Swiss selected and how they combined them. This makes the shoe cool on your feet when you wear them. This makes it a great choice to wear them off the court to places such as the park, gym etc.

As someone who is fanatical when it comes to design and colour schemes if you were to ask me what’s my favourite colour when it comes to this shoe? I would say the men’s white/celestial/primrose. The style and feel of the colour are spots on in my personal opinion.

Upper

Next up is the upper material. Again the way the upper material is constructed is down in a simplistic way to provide you with the best possible outcome.

Firstly, it comes with a blend of lightweight synthetic and mesh materials to provide you with the best support and comfort.

This is going to allow you to move better and smooth on the court without putting too much pressure on your feet.

However, I would say that the breathability is not the best on the market for 2022. I think K-Swiss can do a better job by making it more accessible to fresh air and letting the moisture out.

If you are a player that needs good breathability shoes on the court then I would recommend the Adidas SoleMatch Control. It’s one of the best on the market when it comes to breathability.

And lastly, with the upper is the durability. You are going to get good protection when playing in these shoes.

Toe Box, Ankle Support and Heel Area

The toe box comes with enough space to provide you with enough room for comfort and cushioning when playing in them. Also, it prevents you from getting injuries such as toe jamming or making your feet uncomfortable to play in.

The toe box comes with enough durable material to provide you with the best protection possible and prevent it from wearing out quickly.

The shoe is well padded to provide you with nice ankle support and cushioning when playing in them. This makes it fun and joy to play in it.

The collar of the shoe is nicely made to provide you with the best heel support. This means your heel would be placed in a perfect position and benefit your movement.

Insole and Midsole

Similar to any tennis shoe, the K-Swiss Ultrashot Team comes with a removable layer which you can replace anytime with your prefered choice.

This is great because you can pick an insole that would make your feet very comfortable and stable on the court.

In addition, when you wash the shoe, you can take the insole out for it to dry quickly.

The midsole is one of the key features of this shoe. It comes with the unique surgeLite cushioning material to provide you with soft, responsive, light and durable underfoot. This allows you to move better and more comfortable on the court.

Furthermore, the use of mid-foot TPU Shank does really well to provide you with enough stability when moving quickly on the court. And lastly, it has a 180 Plantar Support Chasis material which does well to enhance stability during lateral changes of direction.

Weight

Another thing that K-Swiss did brilliantly is the weight of the shoe. It comes with a weight of 12.7 ounces with a size of 10.5.

This is great for your game because it would allow you to move quickly on the court and give you an advantage over your opponent.

Lacing System and Tongue

The lacing system is similar to the New Balance Coco CG1 which came out a few months ago. It’s a fantastic stylish shoe collaborated by Coco Gauff and New Balance. Let’s dive deep to see how both the lacing system and tongue for the Ultrashot Team.

The lacing system has extra lacing holes to provide you with extra grip and support if you need it.

When you look closely at the lacing holes, they come in different shapes and sizes.

The purpose of this is to make it easy to lace the shoe quickly. Also, the materials used to make the lacing system make it durable.

The tongue is well padded to provide you with comfort and cushioning when playing in this shoe. This puts less pressure on your arch and helps with your movement.

Fit

The fit of the K-Swiss Ultrashot Team is great for players who have medium and width. It’s going to give you a snug and generous fit. However, I wouldn’t recommend this shoe for players who have narrow feet.

If you are a player looking for a narrow fit then I would highly recommend the Wilson Rush Pro 4.0. The Rush Pro 4.0 is going to fit you perfectly and help with your movement.

Going back to the Ultrashot Team fit, it may take a couple of these to successfully break in the shoe before getting the full benefits. So be a little patient when you wear the shoe for the first time.

Outsole

Next up is the outsole of the shoe. It comes with the drag guard 7.0 durable non-marking rubber outsole. The purpose of this is to provide you with good durability. If you are a toe dragger then you may enjoy playing in this shoe.

Also, it comes with the popular herringbone pattern to provide you with great traction on any court surface particular the hard court.

Colour Options

Aside from how cool the design looks, it comes with different colour options to choose from. As of now both men and women come in five different colours.

This is perfect because it allows you to select what colour outfit suits your tennis outfit.

Price

The last important point to talk about is the price of the K-Swiss Ultrashot Team. It comes under $100 which makes it affordable for most players. And the features it comes along with are great to help elevate your game to the next level.

Conclusion

In conclusion, it’s a great shoe from K-Swiss and how they have made it affordable. This shoe is going to provide you with nice comfort, support, and lightweight.

Although the downside to it is that, it takes a long time to break in the shoe and get used to it. Also, the breathability needs improvements and there is no durability guarantee.

All in all, it’s a nice model from K-Swiss with different colours to choose from.
