Summary

The K-Swiss Court Express is the perfect shoe for the entry-level player who is looking for comfort and support in their game. This shoe would enable you to move comfortably on the court and play well.

However, this shoe is not suitable for players who have a narrow foot due to how wide the shoe is. On top of that, it comes with limited colours to choose from. All in all, it’s a great-looking shoe at an affordable price.

Pros

  • Nice comfort
  • Very supportive
  • Great value
  • Good stability
  • Breathable
  • Excellent durability and traction

Cons

  • Not suitable for players who have a narrow foot
  • Lack of colour options to choose from

K-Swiss tends to make tennis shoes that are wide in length and are stable to play with. This is no different with the K-Swiss Court Express which at the core of the shoe is to provide you with comfort, support, and stability. These features including the price of the shoe make it fantastic for the entry-level player.

This shoe is going to take your game to the next level and would allow you to compete with the very best. If you think that this shoe suits your needs and you want to learn more then you have arrived at the right place. In this post, I’m going to provide you with a thorough in-depth review of the K-Swiss Court Express and its benefits. Let’s start off with the design.

Design

K-Swiss did a brilliant job by making the design of the shoe simplistic and cool-looking. The combination of navy and white gives the shoe a classic feel. It makes it the perfect shoe to play on grass courts because grass and white colour look good together. Overall, a big thumbs up from me to K-Swiss for this amazing-looking design.

Upper

Now let’s take a closer look at the upper material. It’s made of a combination of leather and synthetic materials. The purpose of this is to provide you with excellent comfort and support. This makes it enjoyable and fun playing in this shoe.

Also, you would be able to slide smoothly and move on the court with ease due to the amazing comfort of the shoe. Another great feature of the upper is breathability.

The upper comes with little holes which are going to provide you with good ventilation.

This is great because it would allow moisture to leave the shoe quickly while bringing in the fresh air. This keeps your feet dry and allows you to play comfortably in hot weather conditions.

Toe Box

Are you a toe dragger or someone who likes to slide a lot? If you are then you would enjoy playing in this shoe. The toe box is made of DragGuard which is going to provide you with durability and abrasion resistance.

Also, the toe box has enough room to prevent you from getting any toe jamming issues or soreness. However, since there is too much room in the toe box, this could feel uncomfortable for players with narrow feet to play in.

Heel Counter and Ankle Support

The heel counter has a similar height to the New Balance Fresh Foam Lav v2 which is going to provide you with good support and stability. This allows you to move and slide on the court with ease.

Furthermore, the ankle collar comes with a higher height to give you a lock-in fit. This helps your ankle and heel to stay in perfect position as you move around the court.

Tongue and Lacing System

The K-Swiss Court Express comes with a traditional lacing system and tongue. Firstly, it comes with a well-padded tongue to provide you with comfort and nice cushioning.

Also, the tongue has one leather hole on top of it to keep it stable once you lace through it. This helps to keep the tongue stable and prevent it from distracting you during the match.

Secondly, the lacing system comes with extra lacing holes to give you more grip and support when needed.

Also, some of the lacing holes are made with metal eyelets to make the shoe last longer than usual.

Weight

The Court Express may look bulky but it’s lightweight. It comes with a weight of 13 ounces with a size of 10.5. This is great at increasing your speed and allowing you to move well on the court. This would enable you to compete in today’s speedy game.

Insole and Midsole

The shoe comes with a nice cushioning insole. This is going to provide you with nice comfort and support when playing in it.

The midsole on the other hand comes with a compression-molded EVA foam.

The purpose of this is to provide you with a nice comfortable ride and good shock absorption. This would make turning and moving on the court easier than other tennis shoes.

Fit

The shape and size of the shoe make it suitable for players who have medium and wide feet. If you have a narrow foot then I would suggest that you try other shoes such as Asics Gel-Game 8.

This shoe is not only good for narrow feet but it comes with amazing features such as durability, stability, and weight to improve your game. The Court Express may require some break-in period for some players.

Outsole

Now let’s take a closer look at the outsole. It comes with a non-marking Aosta 7.0 rubber outsole. This is going to provide you with good durability. This is great because it would be able to deal with the tough conditions on the court and last you longer.

Also, the outsole has a modified herringbone tread pattern to provide you with excellent traction on all court surfaces. This would allow you to move better and comfortably on the court.

Colour Options

Another downside to this shoe is the lack of colour options it has. It comes in only one colour option which is navy and white.

However, the white colour is great to play with on the grass court surface. We would like to see K-Swiss release more colour options in the future.

Price

The last point to talk about is the price of the shoe. It comes under $60 which is a fantastic price point for all players to afford. Not only that but it comes with many wonderful features to help you play well.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the K-Swiss Court Express is a great shoe for the entry-level player because of its comfort, support, nice cushioning, and durability. However, it’s not suitable for players with narrow feet due to how wide the toe box is. And it lacks colour options to choose from. All in all, it’s a fantastic shoe to give a try and add to your tennis shoe collection. Good luck with these shoes in your next match.
